WHY A CREWED CHARTER?
Most of the charter fleet is "bare boat" (without crew) or at the most, boat + skipper.
What are the advantages of a full crewed charter?
The difference begins even before the guests come on board: No need to waste time organizing lists, shopping, bringing food and supplies to the boat and organize and store everything on board, all that work has been done. You just come on board, sit back and rest.
From there, you just have to worry about having fun: no cooking three times a day, no dish washing, no cleaning... taking part in the maneuvers is welcome if you want to practice and learn with a professional skipper, but if you just want to enjoy watching the boat sail, no problem: skipper and crew will take the boat from cove to cove. And always with peace of mind: no stress, nor sleepless nights on watch for weather changes.
THE CREW OF S/Y TAM-TAM
Antonio Doria and Ana Roca are the components of the crew. We both focus this activity as a lifestyle choice and not just as a business. This is the secret to be able to offer this service at competitive prices, since part of our reward is to be lucky enough to earn our living doing what we love to do.
Each one has their own role on board:
· Antonio's sailing experience, over 140,000 miles of sailing and 24 ocean crossings, ensures safety on board. He is responsible for navigation and safely meneuvering the yacht. But his work also includes advise on the best destinations and routes, coordination of your work during maneuvers if you want to take part in them, and also solving all your questions about sailing so your stay can turn into a complete sailing course if you want to learn to sail.
· As a crew member and cook, Ana is in charge of assisting in the maneuver and responsible of interiors organization and logistic. She will also have food ready for you when you come up on board after swimming. She will make meal time be a part of the good memories of the cruise, thanks to their delicious salads, pizzas, pasta, rices, etc.
But apart from providing quality service, the most important part of our work is to achieve a friendly and welcoming feeling, and the fact that we both enjoy our work and human contact with our guests greatly facilitate this goal.
